Gender Reveal, Quarantine, and Easter

The first thing I want to talk about is baby Hamilton #4!  On April 6th I had my 20 week ultrasound to check on baby Ham.  It was exciting and reassuring to see that little baby kicking around.  All things look good as far as the baby goes.  Growing and developing well.  Baby Ham was measuring about a week ahead.  Which is pretty normal for me at this point.  I went into the ultrasound thinking that this baby was going to be a girl but I'm usually wrong.  And yup, I was wrong! It's a BOY!  It blows my mind to think that we will have three boys.  When did we suddenly become a house of boys!?  Poor Mckenzie really wanted a sister.  But she's been a trooper and seems to be happy.  I told her we'll just have to do a lot of mommy daughter stuff.   I bought each kid a new stuffed animal and wrapped a Hershey's bar.  I colored in the "he" part of hersHEy to show that it was a boy.  I think Mckenz...

Isaac Turning 1!

Isaac will be 1 year old in just 10 days!  He's adorable, significantly chubby, and hilarious.  I was induced a week before his due date.  Justin and I headed to the hospital in the morning for the induction.  My mom stayed at home with the kids until Joan got there.  Everything that day went well except that my epidural would not work!  Oh that was horrible.  I just remember thinking that this better start working because I do not want to feel this baby come out!  Isaac was born at 7:18pm weighing 8lbs 1oz and 22 inches long.  Healthy, perfect, and so cute.  I also remember that Isaac had the loudest and shrillest cry I'd every heard.  For a while he was not happy about being out in the real world.  Then for about the first 4 months of his life we struggled with his tongue tie problem.  We eventually got his tongue lasered but didn't see improvement right away.  Luckily my abundance of milk made up for his cons...

Meeting Isaac

Since Isaac was born in the evening we waited till the next day to have the kids meet him.  My mom brought Channing and Mckenzie in the morning to meet their new brother!  Their faces were a mixture of excitement, joy, and slight confusion.  Haha!  Channing wanted to hold Isaac right away and he still loves holding him.   Our family of 5!  Don't you love how Mckenzie brought her own baby? We did a 24 hour stay at the hospital and so we made it home around 8 or 9pm on Tuesday the 16th.  I love being able to order food whenever I want and being able to just focus on Isaac while at the hospital.  But there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed.  And boy was I tired!  Welcome home Isaac! Isaac, 3 days old.  Mckenzie loves holding Isaac.  But you really gotta watch her!  When she's done holding him she'll just shove him off her lap.   Three Hamilton boys! And let the ...

Isaac Robert Hamilton

I've been meaning to write a blog post since Isaac was born.  But every time I think about writing a post I get over whelmed with everything I want to write and all the cute pictures I want to share.  So this blog post will just be about the day Isaac was born.  (Or as much as I can remember! The details are already fading!!) On May 14th, Mother's Day, my mom flew into Boise.  Gotta have my momma as my labor coach!  Let me just say, I was so happy that this was my last Sunday at church.  Don't get me wrong, I love church, but at 39 weeks pregnant I was feeling super uncomfortable sitting or standing for the 3 hours.  I was scheduled to be induced the next day, the 15th.  After a rough night of not being able to sleep well, mainly because I couldn't shut my brain off, I called the hospital at 6am to make sure they had room for me, and they said to "come on in!"  Yay!  This was actually going to happen! Justin and I arrived at St Al...
