We've had Jett for 1 whole year.  What in the world were we thinking getting a 12 week old puppy?  And it wasn't even Justin's idea!  I had been thinking about getting a dog for months.  I would tell Justin, "please remind me why it's a terrible idea to get a puppy."  And then we would discuss all the negatives to getting a dog.  And then the next day I would go back to thinking about it!  I could NOT get it out of my head.  Weird. I would peruse craigslist looking at all sorts of listings for dogs.  I knew I wanted a dog that didn't shed.  One night I found a listing for a springerdoodle puppy.  It was a slightly blurry picture of a very black, fluffy puppy.  I was mainly interested because it was a few hundred dollars less than other "doodle" breeds.  I started texting the breeder and set up a time to just come look at the puppy.  That was a joke.  Ain't no...

In honor of my mom turning 60 years old on February 5th I have written 60 things that I love about her. 1. My mom lives the gospel. 2. She taught me how to follow the prophet. 3. My mom loves to travel. 4. With each baby I had she took the time to be there.  And then stayed for at least a week following the birth to help me at home.  She even brought be breakfast in bed. 5. My mom always fulfills her calling.  I remember when she was Relief Society President she was gone on my 15th birthday at an Enrichment meeting.  I was a bit peeved about it.  But now when I think about it I am inspired by her ability to 100% fulfill her calling and show up for her fellow RS sisters. 6. She taught me how to cook.  We always had a vegetable on the plate. 7. She thoroughly adores her grandkids. 8. My mom can do hard things. 9. My mom is a RN which is no easy job.  I know her job is often stressful.  She's an amazing labor and delivery nurs...

Last week I was having some bad moments with the kids.  You know how it goes.  Some days I feel like I put out fire after fire.  On one particular day it felt like Isaac's job was to pull everything out of the cabinets, climb everything in sight, and hit Mckenzie.  At one point in the day I was feeling over overwhelmed and honestly just plain pissed off.  While muttering negative things under my breath and picking something off the floor I turned around to find Isaac sitting in Jett's water bowl.  Just sitting contently in a bowl of water.  I had to changed his pants and diaper.  Oh, and Isaac was so proud and happy to be sitting in water.  I love you so much Isaac! Please stop making me crazy! Mckenzie asks me at least once a day to take a picture of her and Jett.  Jett looks like he's saying, "Yup, she's sitting on me again."  Channing = most adorable kindergartener.  Went to parent teacher conferences last week...

Went to Walmart after picking Channing up from preschool.  The kids did really well in the store.  That's always a miracle in itself.  Getting a free cookie from the bakery is a great incentive.  Got the kids locked in their carseats and loaded the groceries.  I sat in the drivers seat and scanned my receipt into my savings catcher on the Walmart app.  Then I noticed that I was charged three times for a loaf of bread.  But I only bought one loaf of bread.  Gosh darnit.  If I was by myself I would've walked back in the store and talked to customer service.  But I have three kids in the car, not worth it!  I hate being charged for something I didn't buy! Even if it ended up being less than $4 out of my pocket.  Still!  I sat in the parking lot, waiting for a solution to present itself.  With Mckenzie kicking the back of my seat I decided to call and see if I could talk to someone about it.  Thank goodness for sma...
