The good life

I like making blog posts about the big events that happen but I also really like writing about the daily, not so exciting, times.  I feel very lucky to have three healthy kids and a hard working husband.  The days when the kids and I stay at home and just hang out are some of the best days.  I love hearing Mckenzie and Channing talking.  Their conversations are so funny.  And they usually end up in a "yes" "no" argument...about nothing. Haha! Since becoming a parent I've learned a lot.  One thing in particular is that kids don't need much.  They're more than happy with simple toys, easy games, or just dancing to "Uptown Funk" for the 100th time.  These days often seem long and difficult but I want to remember the simple times when I had all my kids at home. This is the aftermath of one Oreo....  She rather turn it into goo instead of eating it.   Justin will often take Channing and Mckenzie to the store when we need some...

BTB

BTB: Before the Baby I wanted to take a minute to document life before baby Hamilton arrives.  I'm currently 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant.  The plan is to be induced on Monday when I'm exactly 39 weeks pregnant.  So this is my last weekend being pregnant! Say hallelujah!  I'm feeling pretty good.  Just the normal uncomfortableness-back pain, hard time getting comfortable at night, feeling like I need to pee constantly, and sore feet at the end of the day.  But the end is in sight!  And I can't wait to meet this little guy.  Monday can't come fast enough! Here are a ton of pictures from the last few weeks.  We're trying to enjoy being a family of four as much as possible before the baby arrives.  Then let the craziness commence! Feeding a goat at the Boise Zoo.   Mckenzie had a check up with her surgeon a few weeks ago.  We've been able to stop dilations and take her off a laxative.  We're still experimenting wi...

It's a boy!

On Jan 4, 2017 we had a gender reveal party.  The day before Justin and I went to my 20 week ultrasound.  Everything with baby Hamilton looks great.  I was happy to see that all measurements are right on schedule.  Which means baby Hamilton isn't getting too big, yet.  Julia watched the kids so Justin and I could go to the ultrasound.  When I picked up the kids I gave Julia the envelope that said if it was a boy or a girl.  Then the next day she made this awesome looking cake for the party.  Justin thought it would be a girl.  So of course I had to guess opposite and say it was a boy.   No nuts or nuts? We had the Crawfords, Hamiltons, and a neighbor friend (Leahy's) over for the big reveal.  We were all surprised to see a blue cake!!  It'll be so fun to have a mini Channing! That cake was dang good. The spread. Cute pic of Mckenzie that Julia took. Here I'm 20 weeks and Julia is 24 weeks  ...

Ooooh crap

Merry Christmas! It's December 12th and beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!  The tree is decorated and we are slowly adding presents underneath it.  What's new with the Hamilton crew? Well let me tell ya.  Justin is starting a new job as St Alphonsus's webmaster next Monday.  Which means I can kiss my daytime freedom goodbye.  Since February Justin has been working at home with a start up company called RealResultsOnline.  So if I had both kids down for a nap I could easily leave the house to go grocery shopping or whatever.  Now I'm heading back to the reality of being a stay at home mom.  Anyways...I'm sure I'll survive.  Because what choice do I have?!  We'll miss you Justin....  Especially Channing.  That kid loves peeking in on Justin during the day and getting in lots of daddy play time.  But we think this new job will give us better opportunities for the future.  So yes, I gotta suck it up!...

Fall in Meridian, ID

Happy Fall!  It's getting chillier everyday.  Here's a bit of an update in our lives.  Channing is 2 years and 7 months old.  Just a little stud muffin.  He loves putting his hands in his pockets. On Oct 15th Channing woke up from his nap and declared he didn't need his binky anymore.  We put it in a baggy and left it on the front porch for the trash man to come get it.   He's been doing good at night but naps are hard.   Fun time at Farmstead! Mckenzie and Cici. It was a fun day of picking pumpkins, sitting in tractors, jumping on the bouncy pillow, and playing in the corn "beach". Practicing his trials riding. Just so you know...he still refuses to eat most food.  But he will eat sweet potato fries! Mckenzie's neck is doing much better.  After 3 weeks of physical therapy she is looking to the left more and more!  Here she's even looking to the left while in tummy time.  Good job M...
