BTB: Before the Baby
I wanted to take a minute to document life before baby Hamilton arrives.  I'm currently 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant.  The plan is to be induced on Monday when I'm exactly 39 weeks pregnant.  So this is my last weekend being pregnant! Say hallelujah!  I'm feeling pretty good.  Just the normal uncomfortableness-back pain, hard time getting comfortable at night, feeling like I need to pee constantly, and sore feet at the end of the day.  But the end is in sight!  And I can't wait to meet this little guy.  Monday can't come fast enough!

Here are a ton of pictures from the last few weeks.  We're trying to enjoy being a family of four as much as possible before the baby arrives.  Then let the craziness commence!

Feeding a goat at the Boise Zoo.

Mckenzie had a check up with her surgeon a few weeks ago.  We've been able to stop dilations and take her off a laxative.  We're still experimenting with her diet and trying to keep her regular (but not too regular).  It's a balancing act!  She doesn't have another appointment for 6 months! Yay!  She's been such a trooper through all the pain of her recovery.

Kyle Crawford was born April 24th at 4:31 am.  I got be there for his birth and help take pictures.  Channing loves holding his new cousin!

These cousins are so adorable!  They're both gonna be 2 this Summer!

My friends and fellow primary leaders threw me an awesome babyshower!

I got lots of diapers, wipes, cute outfits, and lots of other useful things.

This is the Baby Hamilton sign repurposed the next day.  Channing called himself Captain Letters!

You know summer is coming when corn goes on sale.

Mckenzie is so stinkn cute.  Justin got out the baby swing and Mckenzie knew exactly what she needed to do.  It'll be fun to see how she is around her new baby brother.

While I was getting a hair cut Justin took the kids to run a few errands.  They stopped at the Meridian Speedway to see some of the monster trucks they had out.

38 weeks pregnant.

I love when they play well together.

Justin sent me this picture while I was at a R.S activity.  Mckenzie was so happy to have on her "new" Minnie Mouse pjs.

Channing caught some roly poly bugs and put them in his bug container.  Mckenzie was mesmerized by watching them crawl around.  Don't worry, she's eating raisins, not bugs.  ;)

Our usual stop at the exercise park by the pond when we go on a walk.

So many cute baby ducks!!
Channing and Justin got to go with Cameron, Ryan, and Makayla on their boat for the first time this year.

That's all for now!

It's a Good Life

Happy Father's Day to Justin!  I honestly think he is the best husband and dad that I could ever ask for.  Did you know that when Channing wakes up randomly at night all I have to do it shake Justin awake and he'll go take care of it?  Yes, I am lucky.  Dinner was steak, asparagus, and bacon wrapped corn.  Mmmmm.  I love the new things Channing learns everyday.  The other day he saw me use an oven mitt and had to give it a try.   Yesterday I walked around the mall, shopped at Target, and got a strawberry limeade from Sonic.  It was fun.  But then Channing didn't want to take a second nap and was cranky all day.  Oh well.  At least half the day was awesome!  Yup, Channing still loves pouring water everywhere.  And sitting in it....

Merry Christmas

It was a white Christmas here in Meridian, Idaho.  On Christmas Eve we went to church for an hour and then came home and let Channing and Mckenzie each open one present.  We made peanut butter blossoms for Santa's cookies.  And we wrote letter's to Santa.  We also watched mormon messages about the birth of Christ.  For a few weeks the kids were earning pieces of straw to put in Jesus's manger.  Each good act or deed equaled a piece of straw placed in the manger.  Then on Christmas Eve we placed Jesus in the manger and talked about how all our acts of kindness created a nice, soft bed for baby Jesus to lay in.  It was a great visual for them.  (I got this idea from my Relief Society last year.) Making cookies. Mckenzie opened a book from the Crawford's.   Channing got a fort building kit from the Crawford's. Letter's the Santa.   These cute kids. Who knew Mckenzie wanted a puppy.... ...

Can't Wait To Be Done!

I'm really getting tired of school.  I'm almost done with my second to last semester of school.  Which means there is a lot of homework to finish in these next few weeks.  It seems that when I have homework to do I have a cleaner house because I'll usually clean before I decide to do homework.  I guess it's my way of procrastinating.  Other ways of procrastinating are: Checking on my garden to see what's growing.  Above is zucchini.  Buying a new bike! Making spinach and cheese quiche.  Playing peek a boo with Channing. Taking Channing to the park! It's been difficult to constantly have school in the back of my mind.  There's always some assignment I should be working on.  (I was just working on my physical assessment class and this blog post is my break.)  School has been great and I am grateful to be a RN.  I know school is important and I'm happy that I'll be done with my BSN in December!
