Hamilton Happenings

The first thing I want to talk about is baby Hamilton #4!  On April 6th I had my 20 week ultrasound to check on baby Ham.  It was exciting and reassuring to see that little baby kicking around.  All things look good as far as the baby goes.  Growing and developing well.  Baby Ham was measuring about a week ahead.  Which is pretty normal for me at this point.  I went into the ultrasound thinking that this baby was going to be a girl but I'm usually wrong.  And yup, I was wrong! It's a BOY!  It blows my mind to think that we will have three boys.  When did we suddenly become a house of boys!?  Poor Mckenzie really wanted a sister.  But she's been a trooper and seems to be happy.  I told her we'll just have to do a lot of mommy daughter stuff.   I bought each kid a new stuffed animal and wrapped a Hershey's bar.  I colored in the "he" part of hersHEy to show that it was a boy.  I think Mckenz...

2019 is in full swing! Spring has sprung!  Let's be honest, I'm a warm weather person.  And this warmer weather is making me very happy.   Mckenzie had another eye doctor appointment.  This time at Artisan Optics.  Her Dr was great.  Very fun and good with kids.  She diagnosed Mckenzie as having esotropia of her right eye and being farsighted.  Mckenzie's eyes have to work really hard to see things close up.  Her left eye is stronger than her right eye which is why I was noticing her turning her head to focus on things.   Mckenzie did really good at the eye doctor.  It helps that they used princess stickers as a reward for doing different tests.  She hated when they put the eye drops in to dilated her eyes.  Luckily she did great the rest of the day despite having dilated eyes.  Two days ago it was 71 degrees and we walked to the duck pond.  Ever since my mom visited last month Mckenzie has learned to grab a ziplock bag, hold it up, and say "bread please" whenever she wants to feed the ducks. She wants a piece of bread, in the bag, for the ducks.  (Yes mother, you taught her that.)  We've had to switch bread for bran muffins because Kenzie ends up eating half of the bread herself.  Today it snowed.  What a change in weather!  That's Idaho Spring for ya! A few days ago we decorated eggs with the kids.  It was a success with no big messes.  Score!  The kids loved it.  Mckenzie apparently really enjoyed dying the eggs because she saw me peeling eggs at dinner time today and asked to hold one.  I gave in and let her hold a hard boiled egg.  She was bursting with joy and kept holding it up saying "egg, egg!"  I was in the middle of making an enormous amount of potato salad and wanted to keep ...

What a lovely, warm conference weekend we are having here in Idaho.  I'm grateful for the warmer weather and for being at home with my family.  We had a great Easter weekend with lots of fun with family.  Bridget and Brad drove up from Provo for the weekend.  It was so fun spending time with them.  We played games, ate lots of good food, went bowling, had a Easter egg hunt, and made fun memories.   I have such a sweet and pretty cousin! Easter egg hunting time! This was Channing's first time having a egg hunt.  He loved it! Mckenzie is the happiest girl in the morning.  She gets so excited when I walk in the door.
