Almost 3 Years Old

Isaac will be turning 3 years old in a few weeks.  This child is entertaining, friendly, funny, stubborn, sneaky, demanding, curious, silly, feisty, and talkative. He reminds me of my grandpa, Papa K.  Before Papa K's stroke he would constantly find random people to talk to.  I remember on a trip to Europe with Papa K, Dede, my mom, and Carrie we met lots of new people.  And at every possible opportunity Papa K would try and talk to these people.  Isaac seems to have inherited this liking for talking to complete strangers. Today on a walk around the pond Isaac spotted kids/teenagers fishing.  Naturally he rode his strider bike right up to them, hopped off his bike, and got right into a conversation.  He rambled on and on about who knows what until we had to make him keep riding. He also likes to yell, "stop! Hey stop!" at random strangers to get them to talk to him.  Today he stopped a couple who was walking holding a new looking baby an...

Channing's 7th Birthday

We announced that baby Hamilton is coming in August.   As an early bday celebration we took Channing to the Cheesecake Factory.  It was great having just him on a date.   He got to pick out his own slice of cheesecake.  I think he was pretty excited.   On March 1st we celebrated Channing's 7th birthday.  It's so strange that he's 7! Bridget and Brad's baby girl Savannah was born on March 2nd.  She was over 10 pounds! To celebrate my 29th birthday Justin and I went out to dinner.  It was yummy! On my actual birthday, Match 9th, Channing had just started his track break from school.  So that meant I had three kids to entertain all day.  So I met up with some friends and took the kids to the zoo. That night Justin made me yummy salmon for dinner.  And we had ice cream at a place called Stella's.  I'm still feeling pretty nauseated most of the time at this point but I w...

2020 Begins!

Happy New Year!  It's amazing to think that we are in the year 2020.   First day of January we headed to the mountains to do some sledding.  Funny story.  We were half way to the mountain, a little over an hour from our house, and we realized that we forgot the sleds!  Luckily an Albertson's close by had sleds to buy. Channing went super high up and would fly down the hill. Nausea has hit at full force and Channing lovingly makes me toast.  Ouch!!  Isaac bumped his head on the coffee table.  Luckily he's a pretty tough kid. Nap time is better half naked right? Mckenzie made her own bed on the floor one night. Isaac got a hold of Justin's facial hair trimmer and gave himself a hair cut. First ultrasound to take a peak on baby Hamilton.  I was about 10 weeks here.  Poor Jett, just wondering when the weather will warm up. Happy 34th Birthday to Justin!  We celebrated...

All About Mckenzie

"Hey!" screams Mckenzie.  "What?! What's wrong?" I ask.  "Oh we just passed some hay" she says. She still wakes us up once or twice a night.  It's either because she had a bad dream or she's asking to go down stairs and start the day.  Most nights she's also the last of the kids to fall asleep. Mckenzie's birthday celebration on July 4th with Wegners and Hamiltons.  This is her crown cake.   She has the occasional bad bowel day.  These days usually consist of many soiled underpants.  I'll admit that I'm not always very patient with her.  On many occasions she stops whatever she's doing.  Looks at my slowly and says, "mom I think I had an accident.  I think it's poop."  And instead of running to the bathroom to prevent further poop from getting in her pants she just stands and stares.  And then slowly walks to the bathroom.  We've been trying to teach her that she needs to immediately run t...

Princess party

Mckenzie had a princess tea party with her friends for an early birthday party.  She'll turn 4 years old on July 10th.  She got a new dress and a new crown.  Both of which she's worn everyday since.   For her party they ate PB&H, fruit, and drank lemonade.  We sang Mckenzie Happy Birthday and ate sprinkle cookies and pink marshmallows.  Then they water color painted princess pictures.  Oh and they danced to princess songs.  Of course!                   This is Mckenzie's face when we were singing to her, she was a little shy! Dance party! Friends! They are so cute. For Makayla's 7th birthday we went to Roaring Springs with the Crawfords.   It was a super fun day going on lots of rides with Channing.  He is fearless even on the big rides! Mckenzie loved playing in the kids area.  Date afternoon with Channing....
