February Survival Mode

You'll notice that I do no have many pictures to document the month of February.  That is because I was about 10 weeks pregnant and very much just trying to get through the day.  My mom came to visit the end of January and we also got to celebrate her birthday (Feb 5th).  She helped with dinner, kids, and cleaning.  And we can't forget her infamous last day when Jett consumed a lot of dark chocolate and I had to take him to the vet.  More of that below.   This was after one of my OB appts.  I went to Jamba Juice because being nauseous all day long sucks and smoothies at least taste good.  You know, treat yo self! If you look closely you can see Jett's head popping out of the blanket.  This was the bed that Mckenzie made for him after he came home from spending the night at the animal hospital.  Isaac accidentally shared dark chocolate with Jett (a lot of it).  I took Jett to the vet while my mom took Lyft to the air...

"Where's the cheese grater?!"

We're already half way through February.  Can you feel spring in the air?  Me neither.  Just kidding, this winter hasn't been bad at all.  But I'll be very happy when it's a little less chilly outside. We celebrated Justin's 33rd birthday with a family dinner. Justin HATES being sung Happy Birthday and being the center of attention.  Thanks for letting us sing to you!  The day after Justin's birthday, January 31, I flew to San Diego for a girls weekend.  We spent 4 days in Imperial Beach at Nora's condo.  It was amazing.  I got to read a book, play games, only make breakfast for myself, go shopping, eat good food, and hang out with my mom, Julia, Cortney, Leanne, Deedee, Debbie, and Nora.  And even Bridget came down for a day.  Loved it.  We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. After breakfast at Loews.   Julia and I went on a run our first morning. Happy Birthday Checking out Ba...

60 Things I Love About My Mom

In honor of my mom turning 60 years old on February 5th I have written 60 things that I love about her. 1. My mom lives the gospel. 2. She taught me how to follow the prophet. 3. My mom loves to travel. 4. With each baby I had she took the time to be there.  And then stayed for at least a week following the birth to help me at home.  She even brought be breakfast in bed. 5. My mom always fulfills her calling.  I remember when she was Relief Society President she was gone on my 15th birthday at an Enrichment meeting.  I was a bit peeved about it.  But now when I think about it I am inspired by her ability to 100% fulfill her calling and show up for her fellow RS sisters. 6. She taught me how to cook.  We always had a vegetable on the plate. 7. She thoroughly adores her grandkids. 8. My mom can do hard things. 9. My mom is a RN which is no easy job.  I know her job is often stressful.  She's an amazing labor and delivery nurs...
