Memorial Day Weekend Trip to AZ

I've got some blogging to catch up on.  My hope is that one day I'll be able to look back on this blog and remember the great and sometimes not so great moments of my life.    Recently we had an awesome trip to AZ!  Over Memorial Day weekend my sister Julia and I took our babies (Emily and Mckenzie) to Arizona.  We met up with my mom and dad.  We had lots of fun eating In-n-out Burger, hanging out with the Millers, getting to meet my cousin Kaylynn's two boys, and spending time up in Pine with Nora, Wayne, Grandma, and Grandpa.  Before heading up to Pine we got to see where my Grandparents live.  They moved over a year ago from Hawaii to Gilbert, Arizona.  They live in this cute, well-kept retirement community.  They have a great house and friends nearby.      I love my Clemmer Grandparents.  I feel very lucky that I was able to grown up so close to them.  I would regularly ride my bike or take a ...

Happy Mother's Day

I am one lucky lady.  I don't mean to toot my own horn but I've got one awesome husband and two great kids.  The Saturday before mother's day the fam all went to Kneader's.  It was delicious!  And it happen to be buy one get one free all you can eat french toast.  Happy Day! The next day (Mother's Day) Justin made me crepes for breakfast.  Can you tell I like breakfast?  And he bought Nutella to go on the crepes.  Ummm....amazing!  The day before Mother's Day Justin and Channing went shopping for Mother's Day stuff.  When they got back I was sure that I could convince Channing to tell me where they went.  But he would not crack!!  Justin taught him to say "I'm not telling you anything!" when I asked about where they went.  He wouldn't budge at all!  On Mother's Day I came down stairs to a plethora of goodies!  See picture below.   Best guy right here ----> In other news, ...

Fartlek

Have you ever tried running (more like slow jogging) with a double stroller?  My suggestion is to avoid it...unless you're into pain and frustration. I'm a morning workout person.  And I'm not talking about waking up before my kids at 6am and getting in a workout--I'm not crazy.  I'm into doing my workout when it's convenient and I don't have to sacrifice too much.  For example I don't like to exercise when I:  Have to wake up earlier than normal.  Stay up later than normal. Be too cold/hot for a long period of time. Or listen to a kid cry/whine the whole time.     Right now I've chosen to walk/jog in the morning after breakfast and before Mckenzie's nap.  That way the morning goes by quickly and I get a workout in.  Justin and I signed up for a race here in Meridian and that's my workout motivation...hence the jogging with a stroller.  I'm pretty sure the double stroller ways at least 75lbs with the kids in it....

We made it to Spring!

What a lovely, warm conference weekend we are having here in Idaho.  I'm grateful for the warmer weather and for being at home with my family.  We had a great Easter weekend with lots of fun with family.  Bridget and Brad drove up from Provo for the weekend.  It was so fun spending time with them.  We played games, ate lots of good food, went bowling, had a Easter egg hunt, and made fun memories.   I have such a sweet and pretty cousin! Easter egg hunting time! This was Channing's first time having a egg hunt.  He loved it! Mckenzie is the happiest girl in the morning.  She gets so excited when I walk in the door. I had to take a picture of Channing's outfit.  Gloves, sunglasses, headlamp and all. Yay it's above 50 degrees!! Pretty blue sky and cherry blossoms. Trip to the park with Crawfords.   Pushing two kids on the swings is a workout, right Julia? First time bein...

Birthday's, moving, and more

It sure feels like a lot has changed in the last few weeks.  On March 1st we celebrated Channing's 3rd birthday.  On March 5th we moved to a new house here in Meridian.  On March 9th we celebrated my 25th birthday.  I'd say that the move went well.  A lot of people showed up to help us pack up the moving truck and unload it at the house.  My dad even came to stay with us for about a week and a half to help with the move.  It still feels strange to be in a new house.  But it's starting to feel more normal as time goes on and we make it more homey with pictures and decorations.  I guess we've been busy unpacking boxes, celebrating birthday's, and helping Channing practice his new peddle bike. Our typical day is playing with the kids, getting out of the house to go to the library or grocery store, naps, making dinner, going on a family walk, putting kids to bed, hanging up pictures, cleaning, Justin training for his 10k, and relaxing. Here are...
