Finishing Up July

July came and went.  In the month of July we went camping with the Crawfords, celebrated Mckenzie's 3rd birthday, Channing did two weeks of swim lessons, went to roaring springs, kids got hair cuts, and we went on a Kenney family reunion to McCall.  Busy, fun month!   We spend lots of time playing outside.  Mostly filling up the water toy or the kiddy pool.  Isaac looooves water.  He could splash himself in the face over and over again. Channing fell asleep wearing a cape and mask, his light on full blast, and Jett asleep on his floor.  We had a family birthday party for Mckenzie.  Butterfly cake, pinata, mac n cheese for dinner (the adults had hawaiian chicken and cilantro lime rice), and lots of presents.  Mckenzie is so precious.  Some of the looks she gives me are hysterical.  She's always up for playing with play doh, painting, collecting rocks, going grocery shipping with me, reading, getting every single washcloth wet in the bathroom upst

Mckenzie's 3rd Birthday

I could stare at her perfectly soft cheeks and blue eyes all day! Mckenzie turned 3 years old on Tuesday July 10th.  We put her to bed the night before and she was a bit excited about the next day.  We could hear her singing "Happy Birthday" to herself in her bedroom.  And she kept coming out of her room to ask something about the next day.  One random thing she said was that she wanted to go to a dance class after her birthday party.  I don't know where that came from.  She finally fell asleep.  Only to wake up at 2am.  And then at 6:45am.  Who needs sleep?  I woke up to her right in front of my face whispering, "is it time to go down stairs?"  July 9th is Evie's birthday (Mckenzie's friend from church who passed away a month ago).  To celebrate Evie's bday we brought some balloons and released them at the cemetery.   I'm thankful for the reminder that life is so precious. For Mckenzie's birthday breakfast we had chocolate chip

Camping...And I Liked It!

Yes, you read that title correctly.  And I'm just as surprised as you are.  It might have to do with the fact that we camped in a trailer.  Which means staying warm when it's cold and staying cool when it's hot.  Pretty much like taking a house with you to the wilderness.  My kind of camping! We went to Helende Campground which is about 2 hours away.  We left on July 5th and arrived in the afternoon.  It was blazing hot so I was happy to have AC in the trailer.  I feel like the moment we got to the campground the kids were covered in dirt.  But I honestly didn't care!  As long as their hands were fairly clean before they ate I was happy. The first afternoon we were there the Crawford's generator kept quitting.  While the adults set up camp and figured out the generator the girls stayed cool in our trailer doing crafts.  Channing and Ryan rode around camp on their bikes.   The kids spent most of their time riding bikes, exploring the
