Falling down hurts

We had an early start this morning because today was the first day that I started my "trade" with Apple Athletic Club.  (Which is a gym that is only a 1/2 mile away form us.)  If you work in their nursery for 2.5 hours once a week then you get a free membership and Justin's membership was a little cheaper. As I stepped out our side door while holding Channing this morning I fell off the step and twisted my ankle.  It happened in a split second and all I remember is thinking to protect Channing's head.  Luckily I caught his head right before he would've smacked it on the floor.  He got a little whiplash but luckily his head was fine.  It's the scariest thing to fall while holding your child.  My ankle hurt pretty bad at first but now it's feeling better.  I'll probably have to walk instead of run at tomorrow's stroller boot camp.  Oh darn!  ;)  I've got lots of pictures and one video to share from the past weeks.  Dinner at Buffalo Wild W

Just keep running...just keep running....

We seem to be staying busy lately.  I've started going to a stroller boot camp every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning.  And let me tell ya, those other moms are crazy.  They're all basically in awesome shape and could probably run a marathon tomorrow if they wanted.  So as you can probably guess, I'm usually in the back of the group especially when it comes to running.  I've never been good at endurance running and this class pushes that a lot.  For example...on Wednesday the class was held at the Greenbelt.  I arrived a few minutes late and when I got there they were all starting to jog.  Which is a normal thing for the beginning of most of our classes.  I heard someone say that we were jogging to a park.  I started out great and kept up with everyone but after about a mile we started to separate a little bit.  Most were in front of me and a few people were behind me.  This jog/walk went on for forever!  I kept telling myself, okay we must be stopping

On my earlier post I forgot to mention that for Father's Day I framed a picture of Channing for Justin to have at work.  It took me all week to successfully get a picture of Channing sitting still and looking at the camera.  It's not professional work, but it'll do. I love it when Channing snuggles with me.  The other day he just laid with me on the bed, for about sixty seconds, it was great.  He's a sweet boy.  And definitely a momma's boy. This is such a cute and funny picture of Justin and Channing.  See any resemblance?  I sure do.

It's a Good Life

Happy Father's Day to Justin!  I honestly think he is the best husband and dad that I could ever ask for.  Did you know that when Channing wakes up randomly at night all I have to do it shake Justin awake and he'll go take care of it?  Yes, I am lucky.  Dinner was steak, asparagus, and bacon wrapped corn.  Mmmmm.  I love the new things Channing learns everyday.  The other day he saw me use an oven mitt and had to give it a try.   Yesterday I walked around the mall, shopped at Target, and got a strawberry limeade from Sonic.  It was fun.  But then Channing didn't want to take a second nap and was cranky all day.  Oh well.  At least half the day was awesome!  Yup, Channing still loves pouring water everywhere.  And sitting in it....

"Please stop!"

I want to be better at writing on our blog since I am seriously slacking at writing in my personal journal.  I know that memories can fade quickly when you're busy with life and I want to remember these days.  We are all happy that Summer is here.  Channing and I take a walk every morning and then we usually take a walk with Justin after dinner.  My garden is finally looking like a real garden.  We are growing pumpkins, zucchini, green beans, lettuce, and tomatoes.  Channing completely understands the words "outside", "shoes", and "hat".  The other day we had a babysitter watch Channing while Justin and I saw a movie and then ate delicious Cold Stone ice cream.  Justin was trying to explain to the babysitter about going outside with Channing but had to use words like "outdoors" and whisper the word "shoes".  It was so funny.  You learn pretty quick as a parent which words not to say in front of a 1 year old!  Chan-man had his
