November 2019

Continuing on with November!  Cici came to visit!  I think Mckenzie and Cici look like twins in their sweaters and glasses.  Playing go fish of course. Mckenzie had a princess cookbook from the library and her and Cici were making the french bread recipe (I think). On another day they made parfaits. My mom learned to dress warm in my cold house. Chilly walk to the park. Mckenzie is modeling a new dress Cici bought her. One thing I love about fall time is getting lots of apples from the Crawford's tree and making applesauce! Isaac still wishing it was Halloween. In the month of November Channing has three weeks off of school (he's on a year round schedule).  A few moms took turns having some of the 1st graders get together for different activities. We played minute to win it games. Don't worry, Jett is still around. He's very loved by all the family. Chocolate smoothie stache. Can't forget the phases ...

October 2019

Alrighty folks, it's been 7 months since I last posted an update on this here blog.  In my attempt to get caught up I'm choosing my favorite pictures from that month and putting a short description with them.  It's April 2020 but I'll be scheduling this post to have come out in the month that it's about.  Here we go! October, fall is in the air.  Fall months are great but not my favorite.  Mainly because after fall comes winter.  But I enjoy the days that are still warm and the excitement my kids have about Halloween. Pumpkin carving time!  The kids looove carving pumpkins.  As a parent it's a ton of work! Mckenzie wanted a kitty.   Our creations! This was Channing's school trunk or treat.  He got a lot of attention dressed as this Ghostbusters character. About to go trick or treating! This year we went in a huge group.  My mom came into town that day.  We had the Crawfords, Hamiltons, and Wegner...

"Come Get Your Cookies!"

A few weeks ago we did a family garage sale.  On the second day of the garage sale the kids got to sell cookies, cupcakes, and lemonade.  I made about 50 cookies.  (More than that actually but a few didn't make it to the bake sale.  Mmm yum.)  It took a couple of hours before people really started buy any of Channing's cookies.  A few tears were shed.  But eventually he realized that people wanted his cookies!  The kids did amazing at marketing their sale.  "Come and get your cookies!"  "The world's best cookies here!"  It was hilarious.  Most people were so generous and made the kids feel great.  Mckenzie also surprised us all by sitting and waiting patiently to sell her lemonade.  I assumed she'd be done with that after an hour.  But she latest almost the whole day!  I love that at the end of the sale they all just wanted to eat the inventory.  And that was okay with me! Isaac, a toddl...

For When I Forget

We've had lots of fun the last few months and I want to make sure to document them.  And I'll try not to be too bitter as the weather is cooling off.   Dinner at Grimaldi's and then watching the fountain. Mckenzie and Emily's first swim lessons.   Channing had swim lessons too.  It was a busy two weeks.   This is what happens most days days after Justin gets home. Can't forget Jett! Mckenzie is such a chatterbox these days.  Each sentence either begins or ends with "mom".  I guess she wants to make sure I'm listening.  Her current passions are coloring, looking a her princess recipe book, and playing with the keyboard in her room.  I let her have the keyboard in her room and she wanted some really piano music to look at to do her "music lesson".  She even put some fake flowers by the keyboard.  I am sooo happy that preschool has been going well for her.  I was nervous about her bathro...
