November 2019

Continuing on with November!

Cici came to visit!  I think Mckenzie and Cici look like twins in their sweaters and glasses.  Playing go fish of course.

Mckenzie had a princess cookbook from the library and her and Cici were making the french bread recipe (I think).

On another day they made parfaits.

My mom learned to dress warm in my cold house.

Chilly walk to the park.

Mckenzie is modeling a new dress Cici bought her.

One thing I love about fall time is getting lots of apples from the Crawford's tree and making applesauce!

Isaac still wishing it was Halloween.

In the month of November Channing has three weeks off of school (he's on a year round schedule).  A few moms took turns having some of the 1st graders get together for different activities. We played minute to win it games.

Don't worry, Jett is still around. He's very loved by all the family.

Chocolate smoothie stache.

Can't forget the phases of obsessions Isaac went through.  On this day he needed to wear ear protection all day and night.

And there's the headlamp phase.

Helping daddy in the kitchen.

We decided to paint our bedroom and bathroom.  What a chore!

This is what Mckenzie does while she's suppose to be sleeping.

High fitness class on Thanksgiving day!

Let us eat turkey!

Got the Christmas tree up!  Now on to the next holiday.

Have you ever tried running (more like slow jogging) with a double stroller?  My suggestion is to avoid it...unless you're into pain and frustration. I'm a morning workout person.  And I'm not talking about waking up before my kids at 6am and getting in a workout--I'm not crazy.  I'm into doing my workout when it's convenient and I don't have to sacrifice too much.  For example I don't like to exercise when I:  Have to wake up earlier than normal.  Stay up later than normal. Be too cold/hot for a long period of time. Or listen to a kid cry/whine the whole time.     Right now I've chosen to walk/jog in the morning after breakfast and before Mckenzie's nap.  That way the morning goes by quickly and I get a workout in.  Justin and I signed up for a race here in Meridian and that's my workout motivation...hence the jogging with a stroller.  I'm pretty sure the double stroller ways at least 75lbs with the kids in it....

$$ for Jeeps

Well I've done it again - bought another Jeep. But this time it was Melissa pushing me to do it! (what a good wife!) It's a 99 Grand Cherokee Limited (we previously had a Laredo by the same year.) The people were originally asking $4200 but we Hamiltoned them down to $2800 thanks to Melissa. I was talking & negotiating with the husband. And then the wife comes out appalled that the husband was coming down so much in price. And she snapped and said she was firm on $3000. So Melissa stepped up and said "I wouldn't give more than $2800."  The tension was high as the 2 women shot dagger-eyes at each other. Neither one backing down. Finally the husband agreed. And we drove it home. Then 2 days later I decided to list our Cherokee for sale around midnight, by noon the next day (today) I had it sold. It's been a busy day. So in 2012 alone, I've now owned 4 different vehicles. Melissa is the hospital today. She is just starting her preceptorship in labo...

Happy Halloween!

I wanted to do a quick Halloween post so I won't ever forget how adorable Channing was.  He was a scarecrow this Halloween.  We used a pair of his overalls and I sewed on a few patches of material and then we stuffed his pockets with straw.  The paint on the nose thing didn't work so well...he rubbed it off the first time around.  Our ward did a trunk-or-treat in the parking lot.  Channing was a little skeptical about it all when we first started.  But he quickly got the hang of walking up to people, grabbing candy, and putting it in his bucket.  Someone gave him a sucker and he immediately had to have it!  At least he's easy to please!  Such a friendly scarecrow...had to say bye to the trick-or-treaters as they left.
