Channing’s First Day

Last Thursday Channing had his first day of 1st grade.  This is a huge transition because in kindergarten he went in the afternoon for about 3 hours.  Now he's at school for 7 hours straight.   When I ask him about school he usually comments on how he gets 3 recesses.  He also enjoys eating the lunch I pack for him at school.  His teacher is Mrs Conway.  She seems really great.  She communicates well and she's very organized.   I'm excited for a consistent schedule.  I enjoy walking him to school, seeing the other moms and kids, and picking him up at the end of the day.  I'm slowly getting used to having just the two younger kids at home.  Mckenzie is really easy to please.  She loves all things crafty or girly.  Isaac on the other hand is not content with one thing for long.  But I'm sure we'll figure out this new phase of life soon.  I do miss Channing during the day.  He's a good buddy....

No speeding tickets.  And we all still had our hearing intact despite Isaac's best attempts to scream us to deaf.  :) My favorite stop was a drive thru to get In n Out Burger and then driving across the street to Chick Fil a to get their fries and food for the kids.  We also let the kids play in the play area to get some energy out. The last 30 minutes of our dr...
