Almost 3 Years Old

Isaac will be turning 3 years old in a few weeks.  This child is entertaining, friendly, funny, stubborn, sneaky, demanding, curious, silly, feisty, and talkative. He reminds me of my grandpa, Papa K.  Before Papa K's stroke he would constantly find random people to talk to.  I remember on a trip to Europe with Papa K, Dede, my mom, and Carrie we met lots of new people.  And at every possible opportunity Papa K would try and talk to these people.  Isaac seems to have inherited this liking for talking to complete strangers. Today on a walk around the pond Isaac spotted kids/teenagers fishing.  Naturally he rode his strider bike right up to them, hopped off his bike, and got right into a conversation.  He rambled on and on about who knows what until we had to make him keep riding. He also likes to yell, "stop! Hey stop!" at random strangers to get them to talk to him.  Today he stopped a couple who was walking holding a new looking baby an...

Gender Reveal, Quarantine, and Easter

The first thing I want to talk about is baby Hamilton #4!  On April 6th I had my 20 week ultrasound to check on baby Ham.  It was exciting and reassuring to see that little baby kicking around.  All things look good as far as the baby goes.  Growing and developing well.  Baby Ham was measuring about a week ahead.  Which is pretty normal for me at this point.  I went into the ultrasound thinking that this baby was going to be a girl but I'm usually wrong.  And yup, I was wrong! It's a BOY!  It blows my mind to think that we will have three boys.  When did we suddenly become a house of boys!?  Poor Mckenzie really wanted a sister.  But she's been a trooper and seems to be happy.  I told her we'll just have to do a lot of mommy daughter stuff.   I bought each kid a new stuffed animal and wrapped a Hershey's bar.  I colored in the "he" part of hersHEy to show that it was a boy.  I think Mckenz...

Trip to Malibu

On March 14th we flew to Malibu.  This was the start of things closing due to the coronavirus.  During our stay in Malibu most things were closed but we still got to go to the pool (until that closed too) and the beach.   We made it to Malibu! We love staying at the beach house. At Cici and Papa's house we picked loads of lemons.  One of the kids favorite things to do is make lemonade with Cici. Papa is a human jungle gym. Off to find hermit crabs. This little hidden beach was lots of fun to explore.   The beach is super fun for kids.  Isaac loved this huge hole.  He would run and jump in it, sometimes head first. Dede and baby Savannah. Isaac is always prone to getting hurt and being on vacation is no exception.  Luckily his swollen lip healed quickly. Nasty snails! Gotta document when I beat Justin in concentration.  The day before we l...

Channing's 7th Birthday

We announced that baby Hamilton is coming in August.   As an early bday celebration we took Channing to the Cheesecake Factory.  It was great having just him on a date.   He got to pick out his own slice of cheesecake.  I think he was pretty excited.   On March 1st we celebrated Channing's 7th birthday.  It's so strange that he's 7! Bridget and Brad's baby girl Savannah was born on March 2nd.  She was over 10 pounds! To celebrate my 29th birthday Justin and I went out to dinner.  It was yummy! On my actual birthday, Match 9th, Channing had just started his track break from school.  So that meant I had three kids to entertain all day.  So I met up with some friends and took the kids to the zoo. That night Justin made me yummy salmon for dinner.  And we had ice cream at a place called Stella's.  I'm still feeling pretty nauseated most of the time at this point but I w...
