Future nudest?

I mentioned in my last post that we are doing the cry it out (CIO) method with Channing right now.  Luckily the past few nights have gone pretty well with little to no crying.  Maybe it's working?  I've been setting my alarm to wake me up at 3:30am so that I can do an extra dream feed with him.  This seems to help him sleep longer so I don't have to be up at 5 or 6am with a hungry baby.  Last night, or I guess it was very early this morning, I was feeding him when I felt Channing's tummy get really warm.  I touched his PJ's and they were drenched in pee!  I guess he pee'd while I was feeding him and his Target cheap brand diaper couldn't handle it. What goes in must come out right?  In order for Justin and I, mostly me, to not hear Channing while we do this CIO thing we have to close Channing's door and our door.  Which means that I can only hear Channing if he is really crying hard.  Something that I don't like about this method is that I feel lik

"Stay still child!"

Changing Channing's diaper has become a complete pain in the bum.  I place him on the changing table and immediately he begins to roll over.  Grr!!!  Stay still child!  I've learned which toys entertain him the most during diaper change time.  His favorite is a bag of wipes.  Probably because it makes a crinkly noise when he holds it.  But sometimes even the bag of wipes doesn't do the trick and I'm forced to pin him down.  Which ends with both of us flustered and frustrated. Another thing that Channing hates is when I'm changing his clothes.  For example, yesterday I decided to try on a 9 month shirt on Channing.  After forcing it over his large head and shoving his chubby arms through the holes I looked down and noticed his belly poking out.  I stood him up and two inches of midriff were hanging out.  In my family we call this the "Britney Spears look".  Not good.  There goes another shirt in the too small box.  (And yes Julia, I know it wasn't sma

A baby of many talents...

Justin hasn't created a blog post in a long time.  Since I'm the one with most of the free time I thought I would take over.  Although Justin is much more creative and better at writing. Channing is 6 months old - as of September 1st.  He's definitely a "happy and healthy" baby, as one of the last blog posts mentioned.  Fortunately, he is pretty content most of the time.  Unless he's tired; has a dirty diaper; or is hungry.  Being hungry probably gets him the most upset... boys .  He can sit up by himself, get up on his knees and rock back and forth (he wants to crawl so bad!) , scoot around, and grab toys and pass them between his hands.  He's eating solids a little better.  I attempt it maybe once a day. The newest thing he does is hold a toy (or sock) in his mouth and chew on it while he tries to grab something else.  I guess whoever said boys can't multitask was wrong.... School starts next week.  Guess what!?  It's Justin's last
